unit 8

The exercises that I found most beneficial were the subtle mind exercise and meditation/ visualization. All of these practices allow you rest and calm your mind by releasing negative energy and feelings. Both of these are most beneficial when it comes to mental fitness because of the level of concentration and focus that it takes to reach inner peace and calmness.  For example, meditation and visualization practices that I have been doing every morning has allowed my mornings to go little smoother. It feels as though it prepares me for the day mentally in addition to release anything that was bothering me the previous day. The subtle mind exercise really helps release pressure and stress that has gotten the best of me during the day. Personally, I think they are very helpful and very beneficial for the mind. I also think that physical healing starts with mental healing.

  1. Seniqua,
I agree that the meditation and visualization have been really beneficial for me. I have found meditation to really be one of the most effective ways of calming my mind whenever I am faced with stress and anxiety. It's really amazing what we can do without the use of medication when dealing with stress. I have OCD and have never had to use any prescription drugs because I meditate and use visualization techniques.

    Great post!

  2. I also enjoy the visualization/meditation. I like to do them at he end of the day to kinda cleanse myself of the stress. I enjoy the universal loving kindness in the morning. I feel it starts me off in a positive frame of mind.
